The filter for the 100mm filter holder is surprisingly thin and I did not need to add any shims to gain more space to fit the filter in the fisst slot.

I found my way down to the river. While the sky is grey and overcast a river is the only moving element I could think of today.

I took the Fujifilm X-E2 with me, because it is my only digital camera I could use with the old cable release. And of cause it is small and can be used on the wimpy ballhead of my Bilora travel tripod.

The automatic white balance of the X-E2  did very well in compensating any color shift of the filter. When opening the Fuji RAW file in Lightroom the camera white balance setting was close to perfect.
But I learned about the X-E2’s incredibly annoying „processing time“ of long exposure images. If noise reduction for long exposure is enabled the camera takes a second exposure with the same time. On a six minute exposure it even takes twelve minutes until the whole process is finished. The results are great, but the next time I will try without noise reduction. And maybe for comparrison the same shot twice, with and without reduction. I am quite curious about the difference.
